Provision is a trading name of Bathbloops Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 17401627, registered office 8 Cleveland Road, Hale, Altrincham, WA15 8AY — the operator of provisionapp.co.uk, contactable at provision.app.support@gmail.com or on +44 7904 000842. Using the app means accepting what follows.

The part that matters most. Provision is a counting tool. It adds up what you tell it you have and works out how long that would last on assumptions you can see and change. It is not emergency advice, safety advice, dietary advice or medical advice, and it does not know your circumstances.

Do not use it as your only preparation, and do not use it to decide anything about medication. For emergencies follow official guidance — in the UK that is gov.uk/prepare. For anything about medicines, ask a pharmacist or your GP.

The app does hold some health-related information if you choose to enter it: a medicine and its daily doses, and whether somebody is pregnant or breastfeeding. Both are optional, both feed a calculation and nothing else, and the privacy policy sets out exactly what happens to them.

What the app does, and what it cannot know

Every figure comes from what you type in. If the count is wrong, or a date is wrong, or a calorie figure is out, the answer will be wrong in the same direction and nothing will flag it.

The calculations use published reference values for energy and water needs, and standard composition figures for common foods. They are averages. Real people differ, and so do real emergencies — a figure of ninety days is an estimate under stated assumptions, never a promise. Food and water past a best-before date are counted, at a discount, for up to a year after it; that is a planning assumption and not advice about whether anything is safe to eat — the printed date and your own judgement come first.

Your account

  • You need to be 18 or over to hold an account.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
  • One person, one account. Do not share logins.
  • You can close your account whenever you like, from settings → delete my account, and everything in it goes with it immediately. Individual people, items and the whole store can be deleted the same way, without asking anybody. If you would rather somebody did it for you, email provision.app.support@gmail.com.

Fair use

Do not attack the service, scrape it, resell it, or use it to break the law. Automated access beyond ordinary use of the app is not permitted. Features that call somebody else's service, barcode lookups in particular, carry daily limits so that a free community database is not abused on your behalf, and those limits may change.

Plus

Provision Plus is free while the app is in testing. Nothing is being charged today, and you will be told before that changes.

When it does become payable:

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next payment; it does not refund the current period.
  • You keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Prices may change, with at least 30 days' notice before a renewal.
  • Cancelling never removes your data, and never removes your ability to export it.

Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to change your mind about digital content. If you ask to start using a paid feature immediately, you agree that the service begins straight away and accept that the right to cancel is lost once it has been supplied in full. Outside that, ask and you will get a refund.

The to buy and build up screens link to Amazon and carry an affiliate tag, so a purchase may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That commission does not influence the advice: what the app suggests is worked out from your own store and target. As an Amazon Associate, Provision earns from qualifying purchases.

Anything you buy is a contract between you and Amazon. Provision is not the seller, does not hold stock, and cannot help with orders, delivery or returns. The app shows how dear a thing is, as a band, and never a price; Amazon's price at the till is the real one.

Availability

The app is provided as it is. It may be unavailable while things are fixed or changed, features may be added or withdrawn, and no particular uptime is promised. Your data can be exported at any time, on any plan, which is the protection that actually matters.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

Beyond that, and to the extent the law permits: Provision is not liable for loss arising from reliance on its figures, for lost or spoiled supplies, or for anything indirect or consequential. If you have paid for Plus, total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid in that period.

This is a planning aid costing a few pounds a year. It is not insurance, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement.

Ending it

You can stop at any time, and ask for the account to be closed as described above. Accounts may be suspended for breaking these terms, and where that happens you will still be able to export your data.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top changes with them, and anything that materially affects you will be flagged in the app before it takes effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the protections of your local consumer law.
