Scan a pack as it goes on the shelf. What comes back is checked by you before anything is added. Free, and exact — a barcode either matches the open food database or it does not. It cannot give you the date, because no barcode carries one.
The digits printed under the bars. Works on any phone, and often quicker than getting the camera to focus.
Everything that counts what is on your shelf stays free, including the shopping basket. Plus is the layer on top.
Billed through the App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android, and through Stripe on the web. Cancel any time from settings — it takes two taps and you keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for.

Reference figures for a moderately active adult or child. Each person's own line is sized from these, then their activity and any extra needs.
Products are listed per storefront, so the basket opens at the one you choose. Nothing else about your plan moves with it.
Everything is measured against this — the readiness figure, the shopping list, what counts as short.
Full is the estimated average requirement for each person, sized to their age and sex. Lean is a reduced but sustainable ration. Nothing below that is offered.
The WHO figure for basic domestic need is about 15 L per person per day.
A container is pennies a litre and worth nothing until you fill it. Bottled costs more and needs no second step.
Alongside, your animals get their own run-down and the days figure stays about the people. Counted in, their water comes out of the shared store and running out of their food can set the figure.
Only counted in the power-cut situation. Batteries, power stations, generator fuel and solar panels go in under Fuel; this says what they have to feed.
A best-before on a tin, dried goods or bottled water is a quality date, not a safety one, so the store keeps counting them: in full for six months past the date, then tapering to nothing by a year. A planning assumption, not advice about what is safe to eat.
An open fire gets about an eighth of the heat in the logs to the pan; a stove about a quarter. The same woodpile lasts twice as long on one.
Sets how many different products the shopping list reaches for. More variety costs more per calorie.

Adding skips anything already in your store, so importing the same file twice is safe. Yours to keep, on any plan.
